Taos Timberframe is a residence designed by Living Designs Group Architects and constructed in collaboration with Magee Design Build in Taos, NM in 2023. Situated within 100 yards of the Pioneer chairlift at Taos Ski Valley, the project features a gorgeous timberframe design surrounded by super-insulated wall and roof panels, all fabricated off-site and installed on-site by Collective Carpentry.

Other Information:
This project also featured several interior and exterior glulam and douglas fir timberframe elements to support the structure.
The wall and roof assemblies featured a horizontal interior service cavity, while the roof featured a vertical and horizontal layer of strapping for ventilation on top of the roof deck, rather than utilitizing a secondary “exo roof panel” for overhangs and ventilation.
