Jackson Mountain Modern is a residence designed by KT814 architects and constructed in collaboration with Tradewind Construction in Jackson, WY in 2023.  Featuring a sleek, contemporary design, this project was the second of several projects we have built for KT814 architects.

2×6 Doug Fir (Select Structural)

Primary Airtightness:

Taped 1/2″ plywood sheathing (warm side)

Continuous Insulation:

Densepack cellulose (lower level – in 6″ custom “C-Joist” exo layer; upper level – in 9 1/2″ I-joist exo layer)

*Total finished assembly R-value:

R-42 (lower level); R-55 (upper level)

Roof panel assembly

Structural Framing: 11 7/8″ LPI-42 I-Joist

Primary Airtightness: On-site by GC

Continuous Insulation: On-site by GC

Other Information:

This project also featured flush glulam beams (installed by Collective) supporting the roof structure.  The design led to the roof to be insulated on site, for easier access to structural connections in the roof framing layer.
