This project was the first Certified Passive House to be built in Colorado Springs, CO. It was designed by Andrew Michler of Hyperlocal Workshop, who also built Colorado’s first Passive House, an off-grid retreat for himself and guests in the front range.
The house is a duplex, designed to house two families in a split-level design that maintains privacy while allowing the families to share the same property.
The clients on this project were owner-builders, who believed in the Passive House methodology in its ability to deliver superior energy efficiency, comfort, and air quality.
