The Rookery is an ambitious development by a consortium of architects, builders, and engineers in the Olympia, Washington area. At its heart, an extension of the architecture offices of the Artisans Group, the region’s premier Passive House architect, the development model includes 6 one-bedroom apartments above the commercial office space.
The building envelope goes far beyond the code requirements in the Pacific Northwest, as the development team knows well that comfort, air quality, and low energy bills are keys to happy renters (and a sustainable future).
This is also the first project to go through our new facility, prefabricated in the summer of 2024 and installed in September across 4 weeks of site work, involving a significant scope of site-installed structural posts, beams, and connection hardware in addition to insulated wall and roof panels, with interior wall and floor panels to complete the package.
